A doctor friend of mine says
That no one on their death bed
Screams in horror of what is coming.
Steve Jobs, no gentle human, reportedly said,
“Oh, wow! Oh, wow! Oh, wow!”
We read of sleep, of smiles, of smoothed wrinkles,
Of peace.
I believe there is more to come than just this life.
From whatever glimpses the dying offer,
I’m not convinced it’s bad.
Perhaps, even as Christ descended into hell
To preach to the souls in Paradise,
He is preached still.
Will not the judge of all the earth do right?
