Jesus told a parable
Of a man who hired folks to work in his vineyard
At six in the morning, at nine, at noon, at three, and at five.
He paid those who worked twelve hours
The wages they agreed upon.
He had promised the rest
“Whatsoever is right.”
They received the wages for the whole day.
This is not fair.
This is generous.
Whatsoever is right.
Which makes me think that
Grace is the right bent to the universe.
