As I picked more blackberries,
Thrusting my way through thickets,
Emerging with mosquito bites and nettle stings,
Sticky with sweat,
I thought about how the increase comes
But we have to gather it in,
And the harvest is not always easy.
It can be costly and uncomfortable.
