I work hard six days a week.
Sunday I don’t work for pay.
I don’t homeschool.
In the past, I did no homework.
Back in high school,
With a packed schedule,
I would take three hour naps
Sunday afternoon.
Today after we got home from church,
I realized my vision was funny,
And it wasn’t just hunger.
A two hour nap
Made me feel human again.
How does anyone work
Seven days a week?
