and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, which is his body, the fullness of him that filleth all in all
The church is Christ’s body.
The church is the fullness of him
That fills all in all.
This seems like a matryoshka doll,
Where the church is Christ’s fullness,
But Christ also fills all.
If the church is the middle doll,
Christ is both the inner and the outer.
Which I guess would make him all in all.
This will take some serious ruminating.
