My sister asked God to bring
The people who would be blessed
To come,
And to keep all from getting stuck.
I think that prayer was answered.
Cheesecake, lemon bars, cupcakes;
Beer, wine, cider, cocoa;
Talk, laugh, card trick, air guns;
Songs: new, old, famous, original,
Birthday.
For those who came and shared
Almost eleven hours of one of my
Favorite days of the year:
Thank you for expanding our family circle.
Thank you for loving us
And letting us love you.
Our hearts are full.
