Binary

Adam and Eve ate from the tree
Of the knowledge of good and evil.
Not the tree of evil.

Perhaps this means:
Let me know what is right and wrong.
Let me know the law.

The tree of life was open to them—
Until they ate the other.

If we look at the nature of man:

The world, it seems, says
Basically good.
The church, I think, says
Basically evil.

But what if the question was not that binary?

What if the question is:
Do you choose life?
