As the postal worker drove to work,
Her side mirror exploded.
Shocked, she drove on.
Later, a friend came by. “I saw an eagle
Lying dead in the road just there.”
Did the bird dive for food, but connected
With a speeding mirror and death?
Or was something else at play?
