Ambiguous

When Jesus says,
“Give to Caesar what is Caesar’s,
And to God the things that are God’s,”
He draws a distinction between
The coin with Caesar’s image and
Man with God’s image.
That’s the obvious reading,
And perhaps the correct one.

But I wonder: is anything actually
Caesar’s?
Just how subversive an answer is this?
