Lawful

Jesus, prepared to heal
A withered-hand man,
Met resistance.

Would he heal on the Sabbath?
“Is it lawful to do good, or to do evil?
To save life, or to kill?”

The Law made no prohibition
For healing.
And heal he did.

The Law did make prohibition
For killing. Immediately
They went and plotted to kill him.

Even for the sticklers,
The Law brings no life.
