Very Rich

To stand in a room and know the people:

Who is grieving a loss of a loved one,
An unrequited love,
A wish for a wife,
An adoption gone wrong,
A job unpleasant (or nonexistent);

To know the marriages struggling
Or broken,
The bodies aching or healing or ill,
The friendships close or strained:
It’s a rich experience
Of being in community.
