I have been to San Francisco
Three times before,
But this was my first time on the Bay.
A view of the full Golden Gate Bridge,
The city spread out from the Financial District
To the Presidio and beyond,
Houses and hotels, parks and warehouses,
All rising on the hills in beauty.
Even if the ferry had gone nowhere else
But out and back,
I would have been satisfied.
