In a large warehouse, robots move pallets.
Bar codes at intervals triangulate position.
In heat, floors expand and bar codes shift,
Just enough that the robots get lost—
Even though they are where they need to be.
It’s just the world around that changed.
Might it happen that we feel lost,
Even though it’s just the world that shifted,
And we’re right where we need to be?
