After finding Caleb playing
With water in the toilet,
We realized he needs training.
A stern face and a stern, “No,”
Is enough to crumple his face.
His tears stream.
I would prefer to always smile
At my baby. But then
He’d be into unpleasant things.
No discipline seems pleasant,
But afterwards produces
A harvest of righteousness and peace.
