A Better Way

For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did; by the which we draw nigh unto God.

My friend wanted God.
Her church gave her rules.
The rules brought failure.
Failure bred despair.

The rules did what they were supposed to do.
The law is holy, yes, but we needed redemption from its curse.
So says Paul.
There is one better way.

For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus
Hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
Walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
So says Paul. So say I.
