When Lazarus dies, Mary and Martha
Say the same thing to Jesus:
“Lord, if you had been here,
My brother would not have died.”
To Martha, Jesus brings the ministry of truth:
“I am the resurrection and the life.”
To Mary, Jesus brings the ministry of tears:
Jesus wept.
To one, his deity shone.
To the other, his humanity could not contain his grief.
There is no savior like our Savior.
