I had a short message to deliver,
And I had to do it in person.
Awkwardly interrupting,
I said my two lines,
And I watched your face
As you received what I said.
It penetrated your public façade
And I could see your heart for a moment,
That the truth lodged there,
Like a bullet, like an arrow.
And I thought, that shot went home,
As I turned and left without seeing more.
