For years I have hated getting wet.
I claimed it was from my years on swim team,
Wet four and five hours a day,
Smelling like chlorine the rest of the time.
But I swam competitively for four years,
And have been alive for almost forty.
I realized recently that I don’t like water
Because I feel like it hurts.
Is it a dry skin issue?
A coldness issue?
I’ve been taking homeopathic Sepia for four days,
And as I sat in the pool on the 4th of July
I thought, “This water feels good.”
Imagine my surprise to come home to find
The homeopathic rubric:
“Skin, bathing, washing aggravates,”
With Sepia listed,
As prominent as a remedy can be.
Excited for my body to heal
From the strange, rare, and peculiars!
