If I had read to Caleb for a half hour a day,
That would have been roughly four hours a week,
Two hundred hours a year.
In five years, he would have had the necessary
One thousand hours of book language
To be ready to read.
But I didn’t do that with Caleb.
Not even five, and he’s already behind.
