Phil cut the rank weeks with the bush hog,
Went over them again with the finish mower,
Then used the push mower to groom the area more.
Joe and Jadon carried down the net and posts,
The webbing that delineates the court.
Caleb went to help rake.
Then, despite the weather (over 90!)
And the full sun on the court,
All the boys headed out to play.
The new site was a bit more level,
And they were happy to have no tree interference.
None of them really wanted to move,
But now that it’s done, all think it good.
(Except, perhaps, Caleb, who, sobbing, said,
“But under the tree I could get a push anytime I wanted!)
