Airports are designed to get you
From here
To there
As quickly as possible.
A person standing on the moving walkway
Might move to the right so you can
Sqeeeeeze by, but they still seem
An impediment.
Yet a young lady caught my eye.
Walked for a bit.
Then stood and stared at the displays
Of various pottery decorating the path.
As I complimented her for her art-loving,
She said, “But look at them! They’re magnificent!”
Does one traveler in a thousand
Stand to look?
