This is, among maladies,
Minor, I know.
But as I face year five
Still working on the same sounds,
Still sounding out each word,
Sometimes guessing
Because of stubbornness
That doesn’t use the tools
Available
Tapping
Identify the vowel
Verify b or d on your hand
I hope that maybe this year
Will be the year that allows
Breakthrough.
Or at least more steps
Forward
Than back.
