Therefore the LORD will cut off from Israel head and tail, branch and rush, in one day; the ancient and honorable, he is the head.
Reading my Bible,
This verse jumped out.
In context, it did not apply at all,
And yet it spoke to me.
A friend had gone to El Salvador
And spent a week with a man
Who knew God and took
The Spirit with him where he went.
I want to be like that man,
And I want someone to disciple me,
Lest I be like one with a head cut off,
Without an older to guide me.
