My son and I, in celebration
Of his nascent teenager status,
Are reading the Bible in a year,
On our own,
But together.
A week after we started, I came across
A plan to read the Bible
Chronologically
In four months.
Tentatively, I proposed that,
But my son wasn’t interested.
I considered forging ahead on my own
Until I face-palmed
And realized
I am reading the Bible with my son!
Let that be enough.
