What is the work of the Sabbath?
To rest.
How?
Prayer makes sense.
The chance to reconnect with God.
The chance to ask for needs, for insight.
The chance to listen, to hear from him.
Play makes sense.
If the Fall brings dissolution,
There is only One who offers re-creation,
And recreation, perhaps,
Proclaims that reality.
Strive, therefore, to enter into that rest.
