According To

The richest man in the history of the world,

John D. Rockefeller,

Would sometimes grab a photo op

As, out of his riches,

He gave an urchin a dime.

So magnanimous.

When Paul speaks of God

Granting us to be strengthened

With power through His Spirit

In the inner being,

He says this is “according to”

The riches of his glory.

If Rockefeller had behaved the same,

The urchin would have had

A mansion and a future.

I’ll take “according to”

Rather than “out of”

Any day.
