For a time, Caleb measured himself
By my belly-button,
Cheerfully hoping to be that tall,
Proudly asserting that he was that tall,
Enthusiastically noting that he was taller.
I noted this week that he is tall enough
That his mouth probably is at my belly-button,
Meaning only that he is inches and inches taller.
“But I better not eat it, because that would be
Aigusting,” he said,
The first and last time he misspoke that word,
“And the blood would drip everywhere!”
