Joe has hit a wall in his reading.
The three week break didn’t help.
He went to bed with a headache,
Slept, threw up, rested.
I hadn’t realized that “fluency”
Is a fluid word,
Different for neurotypical children
And for children with auditory processing.
I have kept moving forward
For the last five years,
Always hoping that something would change.
I hadn’t thought this condition was permanent.
